Four years ago, Carlos Williams Jr. and Eduard Thayer started SonRize Productions. Their ministry has opened doors to perform at various events including charity concerts, summer camp programs, weddings, outreach conferences, and back-to-school programs to name a few. Though it's been over four years since the dynamic duo started recording, SonRize has been very busy. Eduard, also known as Echo II, has traveled Asia as a missionary, graduated from Harvest Bible University in Singapore, married his bride last summer, serves at his local church (Grace Asia International), and still finds time to record music. Since relocating to Grand Forks, ND with his wife, Nancy, and his two sons (Shaun and Matthew), Carlos, who is also known in the music industry as C-LOS, enrolled into a Bachelor's of Science degree program in Music Production, and is currently serving at his local church, Hope Evangelical Covenant Church.

 

     In 2011, they released their first single, “Hold On" featuring C-LOS' wife, Nancy Williams; a song which encouraged the Japan earthquake victims and survivors to do exactly what the titles says, hold on. Later in August, their hit single “Show n’ Tell” was featured on the Holy Culture Drop CD, a free compilation CD made exclusively to spread the message of Jesus Christ (http://holyculture.net/dropcd). In March 2012, SonRize released a free mixtape (SonRize: The Mixtape Vol. 1). The mixtape not only has rapping in English, but Japanese as well, and is targeted to engage different cultures.

 

    Now, SonRize is set to release their self-entitled debut album on May 7, 2013. This project will be a statement of who they are, as the message will be evident through every track. From the trunk rattling 808’s to R&P, SonRize has got you covered. Their goal is to challenge, encourage, and provoke their listeners to live a life that let’s the Son “rize” out of every occasion. The album will feature their single, Show n’ Tell, as well as the heart-felt “Hold On ft. Nancy Williams”.
